Christian Education at Our Redeemer
First Communion/Confirmation Ministry
Typically 5th graders receive thier
first Communion at Our Redeemer on Pentecost Sunday after meeting monthly
for six months with adults who are involved in this ministry. These meeting
happen during the Sunday School period and are coordinated with the Sunday
School.
Typically young people affirm their Baptism and are Confirmed on Reformation
Sunday in the fall of 10th grade. Confirmation classes happen Sundays between
services for 6th through 8th grade. 9th graders chose an adult mentor and
meet monthly with the mentor and monthly with the Pastor in preparation
for Confirmation.
