We conducted a Solar Seminar on May 15, 2010. Members of our Solar Planning Committee were on hand to answer questions as well as a representive from the Solar Contractor that installed our system. A tour of our Photovoltaic System was given to the public.
The last weekend in July of 2008 we had a Inter-generational Congregational Retreat at SonRise Lutheran
Camp on Schroon Lake. It was great fun and well attended.

The
Reverend Dr. Dennis R. Meyer, Pastor
at Our Redeemer 
Lutheran
Church in Scotia, NY, celebrated his 35th anniversary of ordination on May
27th, 2008. The congregation recognized this milestone with worship and
fellowship on Sunday, May 18th.
Pastor Meyer, who has served at Our Redeemer for 32 years,
received is Masters in Divinity from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri
in 1973, and his Doctorate in Ministry from New York Theological Seminary
in 1992.
Stewardship Trip from the Land of Not Enough
During
Lent we explored ways that we can become responsible stewards of the earth
through worship materials and sermons, ACES programs (Adult Christian Education
Series) and videos. (Here is a great web site to check out as well,
The Story of stuff). We invite
you to participate in this extended journey as we examine our materialistic
culture and learn to thank, worship, and care for the gifts we have been
given. We will commit to caring for our planet and a fair sharing of it's
resources. Our final distination is The Land of Enough! For detailed

Our Redeemer has an ongoing
work relationship with Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent Builds. Our thanks
to all our volunteers who helped to make the Habitat 2007, 2008, and 2009
build in Schenectady possible.
